Lin Jia Shain invites the audience to observe themselves and the world from a viewer’s perspective in his solo exhibition, “Layers of Observation.” Through his acrylic creations, arranged and viewed like a drama, the exhibition encourages the audience to reflect on their roles and states in life. The artworks are filled with dreamy elements, creating a small theater brimming with love, portraying a world from the heart.
Lin Jia Shain’s works are teeming with cute little colorful figures, boxes with tiny mountains, donuts, green plant landscapes, and black-and-white checkered patterns, resembling the garden within everyone’s heart. Each element carries symbolic significance.
The exhibition aims to make the audience pause amidst their busy lives, ascend to the air to watch their own play, and contemplate their current state within it. As both audience and screenwriter, the viewer is inspired by Lin Jia Shain to write and guide the protagonist towards a beautiful storyline. Artist Introduction: Lin Jia Shain
Born in 1994 in Yunlin, Lin Jia Shain currently creates his art in Taichung. Lin Jia Shain primarily works with acrylics, incorporating elements of drama and diverse perspectives to explore the seen and the unseen possibilities behind it. He believes that we live in a vast studio set, where everyone is both the star and the director of this reality show.
In his works, each character and scene is meticulously arranged and interdependent, forming a dreamy and gentle picture. Lin Jia Shain’s unique artistic style presents an inner world full of light and hope.
