The Forest of Tenderness is a woodland woven out of dreams.As the eggshell gently cracks open, the soul awakens from within—the most primal, purest self wanders through layers of memory, retrieving forgotten fragments and long-lost feelings.
This is not an exhibition about fairy tales, but rather a journey of returning to oneself:a quiet healing, a ritual of breaking through the shell anew.Even if life has left its scars, here you may find a tranquil corner where the heart can rest, slowly ease, and once again set forth.
Perhaps happiness is not a distant promise, but something felt in this very moment—the happiness of being held, of being understood, of being gently embraced by the world.
In this dreamlike forest, may you find your own tender passage outward.
Sleepy Head by Elaine
Born in Malaysia in 1994, the artist relocated to Taiwan in 2019 and is now a full-time artist based in Taipei.Her practice spans sculpture, painting, and site-specific works, often incorporating materials such as epoxy clay, ceramics, and mixed media. She explores a balance between material experimentation and the poetic translation of inner emotions.
Her creations often feature clouds, flowers, and dreamlike figures—concrete yet symbolic forms that reflect her personal journey of self-exploration and emotional landscapes. With a visual language that is at once organic and surreal, her works are marked by soft hues, rounded shapes, and meticulous surface details, shifting fluidly between sculpture, painting, and installation.
At the heart of her practice are anthropomorphic cloud forms, which embody her intuitive perception of emotions as organic beings. Clouds—pure, beautiful, and ever-flowing—serve as her spiritual projection, a metaphor for the freedom and gentleness she yearns for. Through giving these emotional archetypes form, weight, and soft edges, they become psychological presences that can be seen, touched, and empathized with. Her works guide viewers into moments of projection and reflection, opening the possibility for understanding and healing.
